Other Health Impairments

This special education category refers to students who have limited strength, energy or alertness that affects their ability to learn in a normal classroom. A student qualifying for special education services under this category could have one of the following health impairments. This is not an all-inclusive list.

  • ADD/ADHD
  • Life Threatening Disease (Cancer, HIV, AIDS, etc.)
  • Hemophilia
  • Asthma
  • Epilepsy
  • Diabetes
  • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
