No School April 2, 3, 6th!
Second grade students are currently exploring the exciting world of plants! They recently had a special visit from Mrs. Williams, who introduced them to hydroponics through a partnership with the IU 10 STEM Library.
Our elementary school is fortunate to have a hydroponic lettuce grow garden, which gave students a hands-on connection to their learning. Mrs. Williams explained what plants need to grow and how hydroponics allows plants to thrive using just water, nutrients (fertilizer), and light—no soil required!
Students had a chance to smell herbs and were challenged to observe and record the current size of their plants, including root growth. They will continue to monitor and compare how much their plants grow over the Easter holiday.
We are hopeful in a few weeks that we will be sampling different vegetables from the Lettuce Grow Hydroponic Garden.
Kindergarten Registration is happening today and tomorrow. It is not too late. Call the elementary office. 💙💛
Congratulations to Daniel Williams for representing Glendale Football at the 28th Annual National Football Foundation Scholar Athlete Dinner held on Sunday. He was 1 of 32 Scholarship Winners and the 4th Viking to receive this scholarship since 1998. 💙💛 #vikingproud

Daniel Williams has survived the Blood Round in Sudden Victory and will take home a medal at the PIAA State Wrestling Tournament in Hershey!! He will wrestle again this evening to determine what place he will go for tomorrow! We are so proud of you!💛💙 Follow along on Flo wrestling!

Our Title Reading and Science Night was a huge success last evening. Families enjoyed an evening of Science, Reading, Math, Some Parent Education, Fun and Food! 💙💛
The 9th Grade Hoagie Delivery for today has been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 4th. Hoagies can be picked up in the High School Cafeteria from 3:00 until 4:30.
A Special Thank You goes to Mrs. Ricketts who made our Dr. Seuss Quilt. Each teacher created a square reflecting off of a Dr. Seuss Book. The original quilt was made in 2010.
Yesterday was Green Eggs and Ham for Breakfast for Read Across America Week! The Grinch made an appearance as well. 💛💙
