On behalf of the Coalport Area Museum Commission, I want to mention our sincere appreciation for these Glendale High School students who answered our urgent call for assistance to move the entire collection of our Coalport Area Coal Museum from our old site on Forrest Street in Coalport to the new site on Main Street. We cannot say enough about the work that these young men did, giving up a day of their Christmas vacation time to work over SIX hours on Monday, December 29th to not only assist our profession movers and museum members packing, labeling and then unpacking hundreds of boxes--but then joining us at the new site to carry in box-after-box from the truck and placing them where we asked. Besides their diligence-to-task and no-nonsense teamwork throughout, we can't say enough about their respectful demeanor and attitude---even working through the power outage and lack of heat the last few hours in the building! I know first hand about the outstanding character of our Glendale students (having taught there 35 years), and I'm so glad the reputation continues with these outstanding young men! THANK YOU!!

As our volunteers STILL have a ton of work to organize and prepare our new museum site for a Spring opening, we are still requesting help from any Glendale students who can assist our volunteers--and the students get needed "community service hours" credit--or in the case of Grades 7-9, each hour adds up where the winner with the most hours can be awarded $200 cash prize from the Glendale Education Foundation! Contact the museum by texting: 814-329-9598 OR via email: coalportmuseum@gmail.com.

Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus,
Right into our school,
Kindergarten through sixth grade all lined up,
Smiles breaking every rule.
Decorating cookies, icing, sprinkles everywhere,
Laughter, joy, and Christmas cheer filling up the air.
Special thanks to the Education Foundation too,
For making Christmas magic dreams come true.
And thanks to Santa flying from the North Pole way up high,
Spreading joy and wonder as he passed us by.
Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus,
Oh, what a magical time we shared! 🎅🎄✨

’Twas the week before Christmas, and all through the school,
So many fun moments—each one was a jewel.
Mrs. Farabaugh’s snowmen with puffy paint so bright,
Filled halls with creativity, joy, and delight.
Mrs. Worthington’s Grinch led a Kahoot game of cheer,
With laughter and learning spread far and near.
The Polar Express cocoa train rolled down each hall,
Bringing warmth, smiles, and cocoa for all.
Cookies with Santa made spirits feel light,
While pajama day made the whole school feel just right.
Letters to Santa were written with care,
Hopes, wishes, and dreams filled the air.
Sixth graders painted snowmen, wooden and proud,
Miss Poole’s kindergarten art made families wowed.
Mrs. Rorabaugh’s class painted ornaments with glee,
Each one a treasure for every tree.
And so much more magic in each class and room,
The week before Christmas made winter hearts bloom.
A school full of memories, laughter, and cheer—
The most wonderful time of the year was right here. 🎄✨

We would like to send a Huge Thank You!
In conjunction with Humana and Mrs. Williams’ Sister Sue Wilk. Any student who needs hats, gloves, or socks can take one off Viking clothesline!
These are hung in two different locations for our students to easily take what they need!

🎄
Maybe Christmas doesn’t come from a box or a chain,
Maybe it comes from a Santa with a big candy cane!
Greeting our students with cheer every day,
Waving them safely across in a festive way!
